About the Team

In the Data Governance team we focus on increasing confidence and ensure data is fit for purpose by providing the capability to assess, monitor and improve data quality through governing our data.

About the Role

This role will lead and manage organization-wide data governance activities and will have responsibility for improving the quality and managing key information assets, aimed at improving the overall data and data governance maturity of the business. You will drive adherence to our enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards, and practices, to achieve the required level of consistency and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Working to enforce the data governance framework covering ownership, onboarding, standards, rules, and process

  • Leading the data governance committees to ensure ICIS decision making around data constantly evolves to suit the business needs.

  • Collaborating with technology, architecture to manage changes to anything within the data catalogue and DQ hub estate.

  • Agreeing and create metrics so data governance and quality can be measured, with actionable insights to drive proactive mindsets.

  • Using the governance framework train and educate the data stewards and owners on their data governance and quality management practices.

  • Running and facilitate workshops and meetings across business areas for both onboarding, improving, and raising the data governance profile.

  • Helping manage the DQ roadmap and evangelize the DQ Hub as a service.

  • Being proactive in analysing and profiling current data, identify and track data quality issues and identify possible areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate strength in communicating and collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Display delivery experience of big projects who can manage timelines, manage risks etc.

  • Experience of data governance management from a business and technical perspective.

  • Motivate and able to hold teams accountable to rules, frameworks, or delivery.

  • Experience in partnering with and influencing diverse teams in multiple locations.

  • Experience with SQL, dashboarding and\or technical background could prove valuable.
