Your opportunity

  • Play an instrumental role in helping to shape and evolve Janus Henderson’s UX and global design system and solutions

  • Design user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that elevate the digital experience according to design recommendations

  • Lead collaboration with business partners, utilizing strong project management and communication skills to finish projects on time and to spec

  • Adhere to accessibility and inclusive design practices, and ensure all work is performed in alignment with repeatable and efficient processes

  • Stay current with user experience design methodologies, trends and techniques, and recommend and research new best practices to advance the user experience strategy

  • Champion and evolve best practice and use cases for the JHI Design System

  • Leverage creativity, empathy, and problem-solving abilities to achieve both business and user goals while upholding brand and UX standards

  • Deliver mobile-first, responsive designs

  • Have an eye for detail and appreciation for consistency

  • Carry out other duties as assigned

    Must have skills

  • Superior knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop required)

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related discipline: Human Factors, Computer Science with specialty in User Interface Design, Graphical Design or equivalent

  • General understanding of experience analytics, usability testing methodologies, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data

  • Ability to use data to inform design decisions and recommendations

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as the ability to sell and defend design work to non-design stakeholders

  • Multiple project and stakeholder management a must

  • Enthusiastic and curious: loves learning and sharing the latest design trends, ideas and movements

  • Able to work independently and transparently: from discovery to delivery, leaning on colleagues as required, communicating on progress and asking for advice where appropriate

    Nice to have skills

  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS

  • CMS platform knowledge

  • WordPress or other blogging platform experience
