These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft. You'll perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of systems and software throughout our development process. Your technical duties involve the design and development of new software products throughout the product lifecycle.
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related Engineering field. Success looks like:
Defines, manages and provides detailed work scope and tasking to other team members
Completes peer reviews to help team members grow in their technical execution and skill
Collaborates on technical approach with software architect and systems engineering
Works collaboratively and independently on complex tasking which require in depth analysis and evaluation of multiple internal and external factors
Innovative and able to provide vision into the art of the possible to support program and customer needs
Passion for product development agility, velocity & quality
Innovative thinker with good problem solving and communication skills
Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum and Waterfall
Familiarity with CM/build tools such as Git, Bamboo and GitHub Actions
Ability to release software changes cost effectively
Familiarity of object oriented programming design patterns

Must-haves:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
Fluency in object oriented languages like: C#, Java, C++ Strong mathematical fundamentals, including linear algebra and numerical methods
Preferred:
Experience with software tools for requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, library and artifact repository, and automated build
Experience in Cross-Platform software development
Experience with embedded systems and designing & developing software that interacts with hardware
Experience in Agile development
Experience with DO-178/MIL-STD-882 and applicable Design Assurance Level (DAL) certifications
Proficient with data structures
Automate testing and command execution using a scripting language (e.g. Python, Shell Script, etc)

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
