The Sales and Education Coordinator (SEC) is a retail, education, and client-centric role reporting to the Sales and Education Executive (SEE). The Sales and Education Coordinator is responsible for achieving sales targets in an assigned market, cultivating relationships, building brand awareness, and achieving product launch objectives. The primary objective of the SEC role is to drive revenue, product awareness, and increase sales in assigned market.
Other functions include education, events, and sales support to drive sell-through. The SEC is responsible for creating an action plan monthly, quarterly, and annually, to achieve these targets. The SEC plays an integral role in executing the successful launch of new products including account education, promotional activity, and events. Additionally, the SEC will effectively utilize tools and resources in the way the company has mandated.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the Sales and Education Executive by driving sales to meet the total sales plan for the assigned territory.
Schedules, plans, and executes events to sales goals.
Reviews daily, weekly, and monthly sales.
Create and execute plans to improve brand ranking by store in an assigned territory.
Educate and train store staff on Murad brand knowledge and product demonstration.
Communicates sales and ranking with store leadership during visits, calls, and meetings.
Collect and report any out-of-stock situation to the Sales and Education Executive.
Responsible for thoughtful spending and accurate weekly submission of T &E budget.
Support execution and follow-up regarding merchandise planogram and visual merchandising.
Participates and is prepared for weekly conference calls, touch bases, and monthly formal touch base.
Manages freelance team and budget ethically and submits weekly freelance budget updates.
Creates store visit and event schedules two months in advance.
Lead and represent Murad in the best light possible with retail partners.
Responsible for daily recap and assigned missions with “Go Spot Check.”
Uses tools, gratis, samples, and education materials as instructed by leadership.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 1 year in the beauty industry, or health and wellness space
Experience with large retail accounts
Bachelor’s Degree in preferred but not required
Strong track record of achieving and exceeding retail sales
Available nights and weekends
Strong time management skills
Strong presentation skills both one on one and with larger groups
Ability to adapt training to individual skill sets
Self-motivated to lead and represent Murad in the best light possible with retail partners
Positive attitude and resilient in nature
Ability to pivot to succeed
Powerful business acumen
Comprehension of daily administrative requirements such as Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Teams, basic computer skills, etc.
Must have familiarity with Sephora and Ulta Beauty
The associate must live in the assigned main market or territory as directed by leadership (any cost incurred by moving or change will not be absorbed by Murad)
Must have a valid driver’s license, passport, and good driving record and cannot have any travel restrictions
Must have a car and reliable transportation to and from work
Overnight travel is required; the percentage of time will vary by market

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB:
Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day
Flexible with work schedule 5 to 6 days per week

The expected base salary for this position is $65,000 to $70,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. In addition to base salary, Murad offers a competitive benefits package to eligible employees, including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, disability insurance, retirement savings plans and company match, paid family leave, education-related programs, paid holidays, discretionary vacation time, and more.
