About The Role:

We are looking for an Investor Reporting Analyst for CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions, an exciting and growing environment. This department collaborates within the larger team, dealing with both periodic and ad hoc financial and investment reporting to the limited partner investors in our clients’ funds.

What You'll Do:

  • Review, comprehend, and explain Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for alternative investment funds.

  • Maintain and update investor contacts in our Investor Reporting portal (Intralinks).

  • Respond to investors’ quarterly financial questionnaires and coordinate database submission.

  • Prepare and review audit confirmations for annual audits, logging confirmations and tracking due dates and completion status.

  • Monitor the Investor Reporting mailbox, summarizing action items for the team.

  • Maintain and verify investor wire instructions.

  • Maintain investor data in Yardi software.

  • Review and edit quarterly and annual financial statements for alternative investment funds.

  • Prepare and review quarterly investor update presentations.

  • Draft and polish sophisticated custom reporting in Excel.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.

  • 2+ years of practical experience in fund accounting required, with private equity experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with Limited Partnership Agreements, Private Placement Memorandums, and other fund governing documents is required.

  • Proven knowledge and experience in fund accounting and operational concepts, including NAV accounting, capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, carried interest, management fees, fair values, and returns metrics is required.

  • Big 4 experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Previous Excel modeling experience preferred.

  • Strong experience of alternative investment industry financial statements.

  • Knowledge of accounting software (preferably Yardi) and investor portals (Intralinks) preferred.

  • Previous client-facing or investor-facing experience strongly preferred.

California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $80,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $90,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
