Job Summary:

The Senior Security Manager, located on-site with a specific client, is responsible for developing and implementing a high degree of effective security strategies and policies, overseeing incident and crisis management activities, providing security-related counsel, and completing dedicated security functions, including asset protection, asset recovery and investigations, and managing, developing, and consulting on new security programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive security program for the client's LA downtown area-wide campus, including physical security services, management of electronic surveillance and security systems, and liaison with base building management inclusive of their uniformed security force.

  • Self-initiate courses of action necessary to maintain the multiyear LA site security action plan inclusive of timely mitigation plans.

  • Develop and deliver directly for the LA office and, in other instances, assist other nearby locations via consultation with the preventative, protective, or response programs to protect against financial loss, information loss, sabotage, crimes against persons, threats, emergencies, and other security related outcomes that may impact firm business or brand for all areas within the geography of accountability.

  • Maintain an active view of the landscape, conducting ongoing risk assessment and threat analysis with subsequent defined courses of action based on firm criticality.

  • Implement physical security policies and procedures, including the development and delivery of a security awareness and ongoing training program for personnel and visitors.

  • Actively monitor security and fire/life safety operational risks and trends to identify risks, threats, and vulnerabilities advising the office executive leadership, Firm Security and other relevant leadership with reliable, timely, and complete information to mitigate and minimize incidents.

  • Manage liaison relationships with appropriate business improvement districts, fusion centers, and/or public/private sector outreach, emergency response organizations, law enforcement, fire departments, medical response, etc.

  • Deliver risk-appropriate briefings in verbal and written form or advisories to firm leadership and personnel based on analysis of open source security and life safety experience.

  • Serve on the LA Office's local incident/emergency management team to create and maintain a preparedness strategy to combat potential threats and security concerns involving our people or property.

  • Provide key employee security services to senior executives of the firm and support the execution of event security services at the LA Office and/or any firm-branded or hosted events as assigned.

  • Implement of security incident monitoring, implementing trend analysis through metrics and initiating appropriate response measures and follow up.

  • Maintain daily and periodic measurements necessary for effective and efficient program delivery. Support local law enforcement reporting as needed.

  • Coordination with AOE, T&C, E&C, OGC, Firm Security, and others to implement physical security corrective actions and standards; work in conjunction with the same stakeholders to support confidential inquiries and investigations.

  • Facilitate compliance with all local regulatory requirements (California IIPP and WVPP).

  • All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

A Bachelor's degree in security or business/management or an equivalent of at least fifteen years of management experience in one or more of the following areas: Corporate security, local law enforcement, private contract security, or specialized military leadership. Salary & Benefits Information:

Rate of pay: $125000 / year.
