Robert Half eCommerce Data Scientist in Louisville, Colorado

Description We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team in Louisville, Colorado. This role is pivotal in analyzing extensive datasets related to customer behavior, sales trends, and product performance to extract valuable insights and develop predictive models. This role is a contract to hire employment opportunity in the Accountancy industry.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze extensive datasets encompassing customer interactions, sales trends, and product performance to derive valuable insights

• Utilize your skills in Python and SQL to perform statistical analysis and machine learning techniques on large datasets

• Develop predictive models to forecast sales, identify trends, and predict customer preferences

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions

• Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate the impact of website optimizations, promotional activities, and customer engagement strategies

• Work with marketing, sales, and product teams to provide regular updates and insights derived from data analysis

• Use data visualization tools to develop compelling dashboards and reports that communicate findings and performance metrics to stakeholders

• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and e-commerce

• Apply new methodologies to enhance our analytical capabilities and maintain a competitive edge in the eCommerce landscape

• Use your knowledge in Data lakes to enhance data manipulation, analysis, and modeling capabilities. Requirements • Proficiency in Python and SQL

• Proven experience in Data Visualization

• Familiarity with Data lakes

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or related field

• Knowledge of predictive modeling and experience using statistical techniques

• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development

• Experience using statistical computer languages to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

• Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages/drawbacks

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
