University of Louisville Department Coordinator II - Biographical Processing in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma/GED with two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 2 (Hourly)Position Description:This position is responsible for the maintenance and entry of biographic and demographic information for university alumni and donors into the University’s alumni and donor database. Responsibilities include accurately managing a wide variety of biographical information sources and organizing incoming biographical data to ensure information is researched, verified, and accurately entered in a timely manner. This position performs research using a wide variety of sources to obtain current biographical, academic, and business information on alumni, donors, and friends of the University. Accurate information is necessary in order to maintain positive donor relations and to provide accurate data for the cultivation of donors. This position identifies and corrects data inconsistencies and maintains data entry policies and procedures to continuously improve overall data quality.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDemonstrated ability to identify data discrepancies and awareness of data integrity processes that support and impact organization operations.Create and maintain biographical data in Blackbaud CRM database. Assist the biographical processing team in compiling and manipulating information for proofing, verification and reporting purposes to meet multiple deadlines.Perform research utilizing a variety of sources to obtain current biographical, academic, and business information on constituents of the university. Make appropriate judgements on validity of internet-based research.Responsible for working with high-volume data loads on special events, graduate updates, NCOA, and other data append information, etc.Monitor and complete requests for Biographical updates/additions via the Bio email service account.Locate new email addresses/mailing address when gift receipts are returned as undeliverable notifying the Gift Processing team if new information is found.Assist with validating and coding records of deceased individuals for distribution to the University community.Identify data areas for cleanup with the supervisor and team lead.Collaborates with stakeholders across university campus to acquire and maintain data to support and impact organization operations.Manage special projects that support Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement Operations as assigned.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of relational databases (such as Blackbaud CRM), LinkedIn, and general internet research is preferred.
