Team Lead - 2nd Shift

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Team Lead. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of twentyone team members to ensure the successful completion of orders. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

RESPONISIBILITIES:

  • Lead and motivate a team to compete daily orders.

  • Allocate resources and manage workloads to ensure orders are completed daily.

  • Responsible for department/shift in absence of supervision.

  • Provide guidance and support to team members to help them achieve their full potential.

  • Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback to drive continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of activities.

  • Evaluate and implement processes and tools to improve team efficiency and productivity.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes collaboration, innovation, and professional development.

  • Motivate team members to meet deadlines and productivity goals.

  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and Kaizen events.

  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve bottlenecks, process failures, incomplete procedures, supply chain problems and training deficiencies.

  • Actively engage and collaborate with team for improvements of safety, quality, delivery and cost.

  • Provide root cause & short term corrective action for customer service and quality issues.

  • Aid in troubleshooting problems within the function.

  • Ensure the training of associates.

  • Report violations of policies and procedures to supervisor.

  • Attend and actively participate in start of shift meetings daily.

  • Train in security and emergency response details.

  • Spend 90% of time on the floor and 10% of time behind the computer.

  • Work on floor as assigned.

  • Needs to Drive PIT equipment.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Proven experience as a team leader or supervisor in a similar role.

  • Previous experience in a distribution center Warehouse is a MUST.

  • Proven experience as a team leader or supervisor in a similar role.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

  • Prefer a 2 year degree from an accredited institution.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP or other relevant software applications.

    REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL & BEHAVIORAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to drive forklift and Cherry Picker.

  • Actively develop leadership skills toward supervision.

  • Ability to problem-solve.

  • Ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions, and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline oriented environment.

  • Willingness to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environment.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining a client service orientation.

  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.

  • Consistent attendance.

  • Ability to take direction and accept supervision.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations.

  • Must be flexible with schedule to cover OT and absentee.

    REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or moved up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 30 pounds.
