Kelly Services Retail Assistant Manager in Lubbock, Texas

Kelly Services is now hiring for a Retail Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the buying, merchandising, and managing of direct report team members at your assigned store. You will work closely with the store owner to ensure that the store meets its sales, inventory, and profitability goals. You will also ensure that the store provides excellent customer service, maintains high standards of visual presentation, and complies with all company policies and procedures. Hours are between 10am-6pm (25-30 hours per week) and some weekends and holidays are required. Pay rate is $18-$22 per hour. Please send resume to 5729@kellyservices.com.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the store owner in planning and executing the buying and merchandising strategy for the store, based on customer demand, market trends, and company objectives.

  • Analyze sales reports, inventory levels, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges, and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Manage and motivate a team of direct report team members, including hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.

  • Ensure that the team members follow the company's standards of customer service, product knowledge, visual merchandising, and operational efficiency.

  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Maintain the store's appearance, cleanliness, and safety, and ensure that all equipment and fixtures are in good working order.

  • Adhere to and enforce the company's policies and procedures, including loss prevention, health and safety, and legal compliance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager or the regional manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or relevant certification preferred.

  • At least 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in a similar role or industry.

  • Strong knowledge of retail buying and merchandising principles and practices.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.

  • Flexible and willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Passionate about retail and customer service.
