Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000

The Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy (CAETA) brings detailed training in euthanasia best practices to veterinarians, technicians/nurses, veterinary students, shelter personnel, and grief support staff in all aspects of companion animal euthanasia. CAETA offers onsite trainings throughout the United States and around the world. These one-of-a-kind onsite events consist of lectures and laboratory sessions taught over the course of 1.5 days, providing time for constructive learning along with networking and sharing of individual experiences that shape our end-of-life work. CAETA also offers online training extracted from our core 10-hour Peaceful Euthanasia Certification program, along with 30 hours of additional content related to multiple different end of life topics. Completion of these programs grants the graduate a certificate of completion and ongoing access to the CAETA library and resources.

Position Description

The CEATA Education and Event Coordinator will manage and execute all school, clinic, and event projects/programs. The Education and Event Coordinator will train and work side by side with CAETA’s Academy Director to learn and manage all implementation processes for school education programs, conferences, clinic certifications, and all other events such as webinars, workshops, and other miscellaneous speaking engagements.

Requirements

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of projects/events of varying sizes, plan events, maintain file structure, prepare communications, documents, presentations, conduct research, analyze data, and report in a timely, effective, and efficient manner

  • Implement and coordinate communication with schools/events of various sizes and needs, keep the client up to speed with next steps throughout their project

  • Work with the Academy Director to draft, edit, and finalize correspondence and documents intended for schools and a wide range of speaking engagement audiences.

  • Assist in all components of conference preparation, secure exhibitor booths, prepare materials, and schedule conference and speaking related events, and arrange shipments of conference and event materials

  • Develop and maintain all project files that are scheduled for execution throughout the year, ensure all projects/events are ahead of upcoming deadlines, manage and update projects with incoming requests, changes, updates, as needed

  • Work with Lap of Love's marketing team to ensure all projects/events have all necessary marketing materials, ensure the timeline for social media marketing is communicated, followed, and executed according to each project plan specifications

Experience, Education, and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of previous project coordination and management experience required

  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Suite products

  • Experience with LMS and project management systems preferred

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail

  • Display compassion, control, and confidence in all aspects of the position

  • Top notch oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with limited supervision

  • This position is a remote role requiring the ability to work independently. Hours may vary and weekend availability may be necessary to complete the necessary job functions.

Physical and Other Job Requirements

  • Able to sit for prolonged periods of time of up to 8 hours per day

  • Able to frequently communicate by telephone and through use of computer technologies, including but not limited to email and video conferencing

  • Possess manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and the ability to operate a computer, read a computer screen and type on a keyboard for prolonged periods of time of up to 8 hours per day

  • Able to multitask using multiple computer tabs/platforms while engaging in conversation

  • Average or above average working knowledge of computers, email, video conferencing technologies, and digital medical records

  • Able to quickly learn custom software and other programs, such as Zoom, Sunshine, and Google Suite

  • Average or above average working knowledge of the internet and scheduling and communications applications and software, such as Gmail, Google Calendar, and web-based communication platforms

  • Access to reliable and secure internet

  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient, client, and business information

  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines
