Position Overview The Staff Accountant, Tax is responsible for supporting the Company\'s tax function. This includes preparation and assistance with the Company\'s income tax compliance requirements for federal, state/local, and international jurisdictions; preparation and assistance with the quarterly/annual income tax provision process; and support of all other tax functions of the business. This position will work closely with Finance and Accounting personnel and other tax professionals in carrying out responsibilities. Essential Duties include but are not limited to the following: Assist in preparation of federal, state, and international income tax compliance, including preparing estimated income tax payments and extensions, as well as all related analysis and support. Assist in preparation of yearly/quarterly ASC 740 tax provision calculations. Perform general tax analysis and reconciliations, including tax fixed asset reporting and monthly tax accruals. Assist with document requests related to federal, state, and local income tax audits. Gather information necessary for non-income tax compliance including sales and use tax, VAT, unclaimed property and personal property taxes. Assist in preparation and gathering of information for various annual report filings. Assemble information related to notices received from federal, state, and local taxing jurisdictions. Assist in implementing new processes as it relates to tax law and regulatory changes. Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned. Ability to interact, coordinate, and communicate effectively with internal staff and external vendors. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to be a team player and help the organization achieve its objectives any way necessary when called upon.
