JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Office of Informatics and Information Technology is looking for an outstanding candidate for a Data Engineer II position to contribute to the innovative informatics efforts for the UW Institute for Clinical and Translational Research and the Clinical and Translational Science Award. Reporting to the Research Data Service Director, the Data Engineer II will be responsible for contributing to building the UW Real World Data Commons (UW-RWDC) mapping data across platforms and common data models including OMOP, i2b2, TriNetX, and mCODE . These resources contribute to investigator self-service and deriving meaningful insights from data, which is an increasing focus for research at UW SMPH. As part of the Informatics Data Service Team, the role of this Data Engineer will also be responsible for data quality assurance and quality control. Additionally, the incumbent will work with to develop queries that translate research objectives into datasets retrieved from the UW-RWDC. The successful candidate will have a solid work ethic and bring an enthusiastic and professional attitude to the workplace. Responsibilities: Contributes to a research agenda set by a lead researcher by creating automated processes for preparing and analyzing data at scale.
