IQVIA Operations Analyst in Madrid, Spain

We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Operations Analyst to support our Spanish business in all areas of opportunity management and operations. The successful candidate will provide vital support to our commercial and finance teams, ensuring opportunities are set up and processed correctly for timely revenue recognition and billing according to company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial reporting to Finance and Commercial teams.

  • Develop a strong understanding of internal and external revenue recognition rules to ensure revenue against customer contracts follows US GAAP and internal guidelines.

  • Understand IQVIA billing process and provide advice in complex matters. Act as a link between Sales Admin/Commercial team and Billing team.

  • Build strong relationships with the sales, offering, and finance teams to ensure queries are efficiently addressed, preventing any delay to business operations.

  • Analyze structured financial and operational reports to identify trends, anomalies, and focus areas in order to achieve business objectives. Run ad hoc analysis using Hyperion, SAP, SFDC, and other data sources to provide business insights.

  • Execute local and regional operational processes and initiatives. This includes annual renewal tracking, CRM activity tracking, client segmentation and targeting, and Enterprise Systems migrations.

  • Challenge the current ways of working and provide alternative solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an analytic subject.

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in an analytical role, commercial finance, or financial planning and analysis.

  • IT literate, with experience of financial reporting or accounting packages, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • English fluent

  • Highly analytical with an ability to design, plan, and implement process improvements.

  • Ability to carry out detailed analysis and information gathering to resolve problems on non-routine matters.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Must be flexible and an effective team player with the ability to multi-task.
