Amazon Quality Assurance Engineer, Ring in Madrid, Spain

Description

Ring is seeking a talented Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) with a strong focus on automation to join our team to fortify our Billing and Subscriptions team. As a QAE - Automation Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and functionality of our software products through automated testing processes.

In this role, you will spearhead the automation testing and quality assurance efforts for various tools and cloud services integral to our billing and subscriptions systems. Key job responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain robust automated test scripts and frameworks, ensuring the comprehensive validation of software functionality, performance, and reliability. Collaborating closely with development teams, you will identify opportunities for test automation integration throughout the software development lifecycle, facilitating the seamless incorporation of automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline. Your adept analytical abilities will be crucial to analyze test results, report defects, and provide detailed information to support developers in troubleshooting and resolution.

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.

  • Collaborate with development teams to identify test automation opportunities and integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

  • Design and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, and performance testing.

  • Analyze test results and report defects, providing detailed information to assist developers in troubleshooting and resolution.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure automated tests align with business requirements.

  • Contribute to the development of test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience in quality assurance with a focus on test automation.

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) and test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium).

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester).

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

  • Knowledge of API testing and familiarity with tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
