What you will do
The Associate Finance Director is responsible for conducting financial analysis, deploying dashboards and business scorecards, developing policies and procedures, and overseeing the cost effectiveness of operating systems and programs. You will partner cross functionally to develop solutions to a variety of problems with varying levels of scope and complexity, and analyze company actual performance vs. business plan:
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial strategies and policies in alignment with the company's goals and objectives with cross functional collaboration
Influence business decisions based on analyses in order to meet or exceed financial commitments in the business and strategic plans; Identify and mitigate financial risks and opportunities
Oversee the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
Partner cross functionally to develop solutions to a variety of problems with varying levels of scope and complexity
Manage and supervise the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Lead and manage the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes
Provide financial guidance and support to business partners and stakeholders
Drive and manage special projects from a financial perspective
Ensure compliance with evolving accounting guidance and local government laws; act as a liaison with external firms when appropriate
Deploy dashboards and business scorecards to monitor business performance
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Required
10-15 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a proven track record of success in a managerial role
Chartered Accountant or equivalent in finance or accounting
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and motivate a team
Proficient in financial software and systems
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Prior people management experience
Desired
Excellent analytical, conceptual, communication, and business partnering skills
Ability to work in a dynamic, matrix-style, complex environment
Advanced knowledge of technical accounting and related business applications
Strong knowledge/background in technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition, business acquisitions and divestitures, licensing arrangements and R&D accounting, business restructuring, financial instruments, currency matters and hedging transactions, PP&E accounting and expense versus prepaid accounting
Experience with accounting systems such as SAP, OneStream, and Blackline
Technical financial compliance experience
