The opportunity

Job description and duties:

  • Evaluate, identify, and automate the administration of various tools used in the DevOps Engineering Infrastructure

  • Develop and maintain build pipeline automation scripts and process

  • Be available to support our end users for the DevOps tooling our team owns

  • Promote a co-operative work environment through building relationships with our stakeholders and driving enhancements to the end-to-end process (workstation to production)

  • Collaboration with architects and solution delivery leadership to understand, design and deliver platform desired state configuration

  • Implementation of production reliability and usage metric capture, targeting logging, monitoring, and automated insight’s, optimize user experience by collaborating with platform users to understand context and challenges

Job Requirements:

  • 1-2+ years’ experience programming in one complex language like Groovy, Java, C#, Python, Ruby

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Node.js, PowerShell, etc.

  • Experience administering and configuring web server technologies (Apache, WebLogic, nginx, etc.,)

  • Experience with virtual infrastructure such as Docker

  • Experience with Database Technologies such as MS SQL, Oracle, DB2 and query languages such as PSQL, TSQL, etc

  • Experience with OS platforms such as Linux, Unix and Windows

  • Experience with networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, etc and network security protocols such as SFTP, HTTPS, TLS, etc

  • Experience working with Public/Private/Hybrid cloud architecture (PaaS) using AKS preferably and Azure, Azure SQL, etc.

  • Knowledge of Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration processes and concepts

  • Knowledge of Configuration Management tools (Chef, Ansible, etc.,)

  • Knowledge of micro/web service architectures

  • Knowledge and experience with SCM tools and best practices (GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, etc.)
