Actalent Electrical Test Engineer in Manassas, Virginia
Overview:
We are seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to help create test plans and test cases for the test and evaluation of complex electronics for a instrumental sonar/acoustic system in our US Fleet of Submarines called ARCI. The ARCI program is a way for the Navy to capitalize on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) rugged server and embedded computing technology to make quick periodic upgrades of submarine sonar signal processing capability. This technology will be integrated in ships for the US Navy, Royal Australian Navy, British Navy, Canadian Navy, and several US allies.
Description:
Develop and Execute Test Procedures using past experience using electronic test bench equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators).
Review design documentation for completeness and accuracy to ensure testing methodologies are acceptable for first of kind unit testing.
Applying knowledge of linear (DC) and non-linear (AC) current to complete test steps.
Running procedure and identifying steps to correction and updating of complex electronics.
Coordinate and collaborate with Team to ensure successful troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Eligible for a DoD clearance. (If you already possess an active clearance you can get started quicker)
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineer or related technical field.
2+ years of experience.
Experience writing test plans, test cases, and developing test benches.
Experience using Test Bench Tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators)
Experience testing high frequency electronics and coming to a conclusion on correction and updates.
Additional Information:
Multiyear contract (3+ years).
Pay Rate: $50-$70/hr based on experience.
