Job Description

As an RDA/Metrology Operation Shift Equipment Tech at Micron Technology, Inc. in Manassas, VA (MTV), you will be responsible for

investigating, improving and maintaining equipment within the RDA/Metrology Department. You will work with shift team members within the

department as well as from other process areas to investigate and resolve any equipment related issues occurring within the

Fabrication line.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Ensure Product Quality

  • Resolve equipment related issues through monitoring applications, responding to fails, recovering tools and maintenance. * *

  • Engage with process areas regarding measurement and inspection equipment related investigations and works with their engineering teams to identify plan of action.

Works with first shift engineers to understand equipment related concerns and is involved in execution of shift actions that are associated with such work.

  • Process DTS case closures for equipment related issues. Provide real-time feedback to shift team members when there are any issues that are identified with these documentations.

  • Follows all available documentation and procedures (Dispo specs, reaction mechanisms etc.) and identifies whether any gaps exist. * * Respond in a timely manner to process area requests for tool related issues

    • Recognizes and uses available resources to investigate new or unknown equipment issues to resolve if a repeat occurrence and past actions were taken to address. **Operate and Maintain Equipment**

  • Responds to RDA/Metrology Inspection and Measurement Tool issues such as alignment and equipment issues and is capable of troubleshooting

  • Log tools using the appropriate Equipment Tracking Interface (ETI) codes while providing timely descriptive notes/comments. Make sure qual system is kept current in Toolview by ensuring tool quals are done completely and on time.

  • Perform trouble shooting on specific area toolsets and implement plan initiated by first shift team members and vendors. * * Ensure area PMs are completed and follow up with any PM related concerns. This includes confirming post pm quals are being performed and are within spec prior to tool release. Employ decision making analysis platforms (fishbones) when vital to settle root cause for LTD events.

**Drive Improvements and Enhancements**

  • Identifies and drives improvements on existing RDA/Metrology operation efficiency and/or creation of new Best-Known Methods (BKMs). Implementation of proposed solutions and works with all teams to ensure accurate deployment.

  • Support Fab wide training efforts by improving and delivering area specific training materials.

  • Evaluate certification data to identify their own training gaps and works with area training representatives and mentors to acquire the vital training.

Looks to participate in cross functional team to address area line of site goals. Adhere to RDA/Metrology Ground Rules Apply TPM guideline to address MTAGs, 6S and Area metrics.

  • Attend all required meetings scheduled on or off shift as defined by your Supervisor, Lead of Leads, and Section Head. * *

  • Ensure a balanced and safe work environment for all team members by identifying risks to our local environment and advancing in the proper fashion to ensure that they are minimized.

  • Ensure all safety and environmental compliance-related work tasks are being completed in accordance with existing requirements (Lock Out Tag Out, audits, training, Job Hazard Analysis, use of proper Personal Protective Equipment, evacuation procedures).

  • Align with all safety and environmental policies, where applicable, and hold other team members accountable when performance gaps exist.
