Robert Half International Shipping Coordinator in Manhattan Beach, California
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an International Shipping Coordinator. This role is based in Manhattan Beach, California, and is within the retail industry. As an International Shipping Coordinator, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of tasks related to international shipments and transactions.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the control and administration of international shipments, ensuring all processes are carried out efficiently.
• Handle documents, communications, and payment presentations under various financial transactions.
• Coordinate invoicing, logistics, and shipping control of all international orders to meet sales targets.
• Ensure all shipping documents for Factory Direct Shipments are received, printed, reviewed, and checked for accuracy.
• Liaise with the Finance Team to resolve any price discrepancies before invoicing.
• Rectify any document discrepancies or clarifications with the factories and international colleagues.
• Process Compass invoicing for Factory Direct shipments, ensuring each line for each Factory Commercial Invoice is processed accurately.
• Oversee the preparation of necessary paperwork, including transportation documents, certificates of origin, commercial invoices, packing lists, and other shipping documentation.
• Interact with various teams and external parties to resolve any Compass download issue or discrepancy and push for shipments.
• Monitor all shipment activity, ensuring timely arrival at destination and create appropriate reporting tools to account for activity.
• Ensure all documents and finance presentations are sent to finance institutions and/or customers to demand and secure payment for all shipments.
• Maintain and manage all filing associated with all international shipments processed by the Export Logistics Team. Requirements • Proven experience in the retail industry, preferably related to international shipping and logistics.
• Proficient knowledge of logistics, including an understanding of global shipping regulations and procedures.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage and track multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with international partners and clients.
• Ability to solve problems swiftly and efficiently, particularly those related to shipping delays or errors.
• Proficient in using software for inventory management, shipping, and logistics.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaborative skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
