Description
We are a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare provider seeking a Surgery Medical Collections Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of medical and surgical billing, insurance claims procedures and advanced negotiation skills. They will be responsible to provide excellent customer service to patients and streamline our billing and collections procedures.
Responsibilities:
Billing and coding medical and surgical claims accurately and in a timely manner.
Submitting insurance claims, tracking their status, and handling rejections or denials.
Contacting patients regarding unpaid accounts and setting up payment plans.
Interacting with insurance companies to resolve any related issues.
Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records of patient billing information.
Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations related to medical billing and coding.
Resolving patient complaints and queries regarding billing.
Collaborating with the surgical team to verify surgical procedures performed.
