Summary The Thermoplastic Extruder Operator is responsible for machine operation and processing in successful achievement towards final product. This position is performed following all Parker Hannifin Standard Operating Procedures and Safety regulations and practices. The incumbent contributes to and participates in a strong team environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Sets up and operates thermo-plastic extruders and auxiliary equipment on the extruder line according to engineering specifications; makes immediate corrections where possible. Utilizes a variety of precision measuring instruments, performing all required testing and recording all pertinent information and ensuring quality standards are met. Determines appropriate changeover of tooling to ensure proper dimensions according to specifications. Monitors machines and process, reporting irregularities to Lead or Supervisor for problem identification and resolution. Is responsible for material handling for each assigned process. Documents, logs, compiles reports as required and/or requested. Participates in area and process team projects and activities. Performs or assists with other duties as assigned. Education, Training and Experience Required HS diploma or GED; Machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Knowledge and Skills Mathematical aptitude and proficiency Keyboarding skills, with some knowledge of MS Office software Ability to operate forklift...
