Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.The Impact You'll Make in this RoleThe OT Network Design Lead will provide strategic direction and design expertise, supporting the teams engaged in the deployment, installation, support and monitoring/management of the OT Network environment. In this role the Design Lead will be a subject matter expert in the following: Converged Plant-Wide Ethernet (CPwE), Cisco Switching and Routing, Next Generation and Industrial Firewalls.As an OT Network Design Lead, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Defining global standards, policies and procedures relating to the design and implementation of OT Networks.Actively supporting our managed service partner in the implementation of the technology including documentation and training to support design changes and new feature implementations.Producing high level architectural designs to support the implementation of new and existing technologies.Leading Proof of Concept activities and making recommendations for adoption of new technologies.Challenging our vendors to continuously improve their product and champion features that will deliver business value to Solventum.Keeping informed on industry trends & vendor directions in the OT Network Design spaceActing as an escalation point in the event of major outages or complex issuesLiaising with hardware vendors and business partners where required to resolve more challenging issues.Engaging with global Solventum ITIL standards around Incident, Problem, & Change management to ensure proper processes are used to address and resolve issues and manage change.Undertaking routine and specialised tasks to report on the health of the various services under the OT Network portfolio from an enterprise perspective, including participation in IT Continuity Planning.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher AND 5 years of experience managing and designing OT networks OR High School Diploma/GED from AND 9 years of experience managing and designing OT networksProfessional & Project Management and Technical Skills:5 years relevant technical experience in the followin areasExperience configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting Cisco switched networksExperience designing and implementing OT networksExperience deploying and managing firewalls for OT networks, with specific knowledge of Checkpoint, Cisco ASA and Palo Alto Networks being of particular interestGeneral experience across broad spectrum of network technologies is a plus (routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, WAN, UC etc.)Ability to communicate both verbally and written to both technical and non-technical leadershipExtensive understanding of network architecture, design, implementation & roll-out processesAwareness of Project Management practices and Agile methodology (e.g. Scrum, SAFe) is preferredWill be expected to contribute to and lead projects in the Global Network & Telecoms spaceGood problem-solving skillsShould possess good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)Adaptable to work in an ever changing and demanding operational environmentThoroughness and exceptional attention to detail is a mustSupportExpected to be available for escalations and support during major systems outagesPersonal Interaction:Excellent customer-oriented attitudeStrong organisational, communication (written and verbal) and administrative skillsAbility to work with & manage vendorsGood interpersonal skills & ability to work in virtual teams (often self-directed)Ability to manage high degree of multi-taskingWork location:RemoteTravel: May include up to 20% domestic travel and some occasional international travelRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without...Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
