Aerotek Automation Technician in Marion, Indiana

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Robotics Technician to join our 3rd shift team. This role is essential in maintaining and repairing our robotics systems, including Fanuc robots. The ideal candidate should have expertise in PLCs, maintenance, and repair, as well as experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, AC/DC controls circuitry, blueprints, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on Fanuc robots and other automated systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with robotics systems, including PLCs, AC/DC controls circuitry, and other components.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to assist with troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

  • Collaborate with other team members to support overall operations and production goals.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.

  • Provide support for continuous improvement initiatives and system upgrades.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Robotics Technician or similar role in an industrial setting, preferably within the food and beverage industry.

  • Proficiency with Fanuc robots and related systems.

  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, AC/DC controls circuitry, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively on the 3rd shift.

  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with other types of industrial robots and automation technology.

  • Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for robotics maintenance and repair.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
