Aerotek Production Supervisor in Marion, Indiana

Job Description

  • As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Plant Manager by providing outstanding support and customer service to associates and visitors.

  • Your primary responsibilities include the supervisory management within the production areas, ensuring all assigned tasks are delivered on time and in accordance with production specifications.

  • You will comply with Federal, State, Local, or customer requirements, including OSHA, AIB, and our standards. Key responsibilities also include planning resource allocation, documenting and reviewing production activities, maintaining effective maintenance schedules, supervising various staff activities, ensuring a safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with quality and food safety programs.

Hard Skills

  • 5+ years or a degree in a supervisory role within a production environment

  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, lean manufacturing principles

  • Knowledge of food safety, quality, and manufacturing principles

Soft Skills

  • Strong people management skills

  • Confidence in decision-making

  • Effective communication in writing and verbally

  • Ability to motivate and coach employees

  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability in changing environments

Work Environment

  • The role oversees 30-60 employees in a white coat environment with required hair and beard nets.

  • Physical demands include occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50lbs. You will work in various conditions including coolers and freezers with exposure to cold and freezing temperatures, and high heat areas in the warehouse.

  • Noise levels may be high requiring shouting to communicate.

  • The role also involves exposure to mechanical parts, electrical currents, and chemicals.
