We are currently seeking applicants for a Journeyman Electrician in the Electrical Department of our Power Production Division located in Marston, MO.

The New Madrid Power Plant seeks a highly motivated individual with journeyman-level experience in power production or a manufacturing environment. Under the direct supervision of the Electrical Supervisor, the Journeyman Electrician will perform electrical maintenance on most of the electrical equipment inside and outside the plant and must have a working knowledge of PLC’s.

  • Electrical maintenance includes trouble-shooting, repairing equipment, installation of new equipment, modification of existing equipment, structures, and grounds. Candidates must be able to interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and drawings.

  • Electrical equipment included, but not limited to, are motors, switchgears, control circuits, electrical generators, elevators, communications systems, station batteries, battery charges, inverters, electrostatic precipitators, boiler lighter electrodes, and lighting. They will perform other work as assigned.

Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least five years “hands on” experience and must have completed an approved apprenticeship program or have direct on the job training equal to an apprenticeship. Additional education is a plus.
