GENERAL DESCRIPTION Performs highly complex (senior-level) social service or case management work. Serves as a liaison between the institution and Centralized Placement Unit (CPU) to ensure the coordination of requests for placement for youth within the institution who are in need of a community placement. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per work week and be on-call. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reviews, monitors, and coordinates all alternate placement requests to ensure referral packets are complete and up-to-date.Coordinates the ransportation for all administrative transfers and informs the receiving Institutional Placement. Coordinator of the pending transfer to ensure youth are placed in appropriate facilities.Serves as a member of Special Services Committee to obtain and relay information to other committee members.Functions as the on-duty officer as assigned and in compliance with agency standards to ensure appropriate management of youth and staff during the weekend.Acts as a liaison between the institution and Centralized Placement Unit to network and update information for all involved individuals.Coordinates and monitors all documentation associated with Interstate Compact requests for courtesy supervision to ensure youth are accurately and appropriately placed in out-of-state facilities.Provides new employee orientation for new primary service workers to provide them with appropriate information and training regarding community placement requests and Interstate Compact request.Attends all required meetings, professional training workshops, and other required workshops to enhance professional skills and to keep abreast of current activities, policies, and procedures.Responsible for all temporary admissions into institution to ensure compliance with GOP 47.19.Coordinates the transportation for all temporary admissions to the Statewide Reception Center to ensure delivery in a timely manner.Reviews and submits early release requests to the Deputy Executive Director for approval to ensure all information is present for a valid requests.Reports any presence or perception of racial, ethnic, and/or gender disparities.Performs a variety of related duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.Performs all duties in compliance with agency safety policies and procedures: Reports safety hazards and corrects hazards when possible. Completes required documentation in the event of an accident/injury within requested time frames. Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency attendance and leave policies. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelorand#8217;s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Clinical Psychology or Sociology, Guidance and Counseling, Criminal Justice (not Law Enforcement or Police Services), Family Relations, Interdisciplinary degree in Social Science, or Rehabilitation. Two (2) years of the experience in the placement of youth, social work, or related area.ORHigh school diploma or equivalent. Six (6) years of full-time wage earning experience in the placement of youth, social work, or related area.Experience and Education Substitutions:and#8226;One year of appropriate experience may substitute for one year of college (30 course hours) on a year for year basis.and#8226;Completed course hours of undergraduate study may substitute for up to four years of experience on a basis of 30 course hours for one year of experience.and#8226;Completed course hours of graduate study may substitute for up to two years of experience on a basis of 12 graduate course hours for one year of experience.and#8226;Pro-rated part-time experience may satisfy the experience requirements.Note: Any degree, diploma, high school equivalent, or course hours required to meet minimum qualifications must be from an accredited educational institution.This position is subject to mandatory pre-employment drug testing and any offer of employment is contingent upon results from a drug screen conducted for the agency.
