Job Requisition #: 027449 Truck Driver (Open) Job Description: Key Responsibilities Operates a semi-truck or trailer according to applicable federal and state/provincial transportation laws and regulations. May plan logistics to ensure timely delivery of products and materials. Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over specified route, obeying all traffic and freight-carrier regulations and laws. May be required to maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork. Delivers documentation to shipping office or appropriate colleague when delivery route is complete. Completes routine service on trucks, which may include checking fluids, fuel, and air. Reports all maintenance issues and malfunctions. Arranges trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns. Inspect, report defects, and maintain transport equipment. Maintain a safe work record. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to push, pull, and twist. Visually inspecting products, labels, and aisle ways. Communicating with employees and management. Requirements: Class A CDL. A minimum of three years tractor-trailer driving experience accident free. A Safety First mind set and a clean MVR. Ability to be an engaged member of a Team. Knowledge & Skills: Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Good customer service skills. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with customers and colleagues at delivery points. Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.
