City of McComb Firefighter/Civil Service Test in McComb, Mississippi
The City of McComb is accepting applications for the Civil Service examinations at the McComb Fire Department, Station 4, 1241 Parklane Rd McComb, MS 39648 for the following position:
FIREFIGHTER
TO APPLY: Individuals must be 18 years of age, US citizen, and an elector of the county in which he/she resides. Individuals must provide copy of high school diploma or GED, birth certificate, valid driver's license, Social Security card, and voter's registration card.
Applications for entrance examination must be filed at the following locations: the McComb Fire Department located at 1241 Parklane Rd McComb, MS 39648, or the McComb WIN Job Center located at 1400A Harrison Ave McComb, MS 39648.
Applicant must also go by the McComb Police Dept at 510 Beech Street to get a Fingerprint Card and take it to Fire Station 4.
Once the application process is completed and a waiver to conduct a background investigation is signed at the McComb Fire Department, then fingerprints and pictures are to be taken at the City of McComb Police Department, 501 Beech St. McComb, MS 39648.
AGILITY TEST: Applicants will be notified when to assemble at the McComb Fire Department, 1241 Parklane Rd McComb, MS 39648. **NOTE: all applicants are required to wear clothes that one can run and exercise in such as jogging suits, tennis shoes, shorts, or any other comfortable clothes. Applicants will be informed if they passed or failed upon completeing the test.
WRITTEN TEST: Applicants will be notified by the McComb Fire Dept. when it will be conducted. **Applicants will be informed of their pass/fail status upon completing the test. All eligible applicants will read and sign a roster with the date and time of their assigned Oral Interview.
ORAL INTERVIEW: Applicants will be notified by the McComb Fire Dept. when interviews will be conducted. **Oral interviews will be conducted in the City Hall Board Room, 115 3rd St, McComb, MS 39648. Proper attire is required for the interview, shirt and tie for males and pants suits or dresses for females.
