Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description:

This position is part of a hybrid work arrangement requiring employee to be in office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with the option to work remotely on Monday and Friday.

Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst will support multiple groups within the organization to provide global financial reporting and analysis including annual planning, monthly forecasting, P&L consolidation and reporting. This role will provide analysis of the organization's financial performance against plan and forecast, perform monthly budget variance analysis and will prepare financial reports, charts, and other project analytics as necessary.

This role is expected to create comprehensive dashboards and portfolio level analytics that track, identify trends and root causes and enable senior level leaders to make informed decisions to drive improved financial and operational performance. Ability to present complex data results at a C-level identifying the main business drivers and trends is a critical skill in this role. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will assist in design and implementation of global processes.

Partnering with business units to resolve issues and providing regular updates to company executives on financial performance will require excellent communication and collaboration skills. Other success factors for this role include being comfortable with change, ability to multi-task, being resourceful and having a global mindset. The perfect candidate would be a self-motivated analytical thinker with superb communication skills that would drive results with little to no supervision. What You Will Be Doing:

  • Reporting: Produces business unit reports indicating analysis and understanding of business trends, offering useful business insights/conclusions. Consolidates financials from regions and business units to put together a complete picture of financial results. High visibility role presenting financial results to business leaders monthly.

  • Planning and Forecasting: Understand the various elements of the P & L and B/S and their relationship and provide detailed analysis of the data to the business unit leaders. Leads the forecasting process across all regions and business units. Consolidates the forecast to be used in monthly reporting.

  • P & L Analysis: Conducts independent analysis and interpretation of the business unit P & L and its components when requested by Finance leadership or Business.

  • Develop monthly and quarterly project budgets and forecasts, conduct variance analysis, identify drivers and trends that result in actionable decision making

  • Prepare detailed analysis and data models that clearly identify main business drivers and trends that result in actionable decision making.

  • Update and maintain comprehensive dashboards to all levels of the organization that track, measure and report on project and financial targets.

  • Executive Meeting Prep and Leadership: Assist in the preparation of Executive- level presentations and meetings, such as quarterly business reviews and monthly spend reviews, and engage with Senior leadership in understanding and representing the financial metrics and results.

  • Projects: Works on projects assigned by manager and as necessitated by business partners. Uses high analytical skills to put together accurate and detailed analysis.

  • Business Partnering: Establishes relationships with business partners around the world to facilitate in the accurate collection of monthly financial data and understanding business trends.

  • Increases team's productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools and end-to-end process optimization

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experiences

  • 5+ years of experience in a large company working in Finance and/or Accounting function responsible for advanced analytical work

  • Ability to consistently produce high quality analysis within tight deadlines by prioritizing, identifying roadblocks, and collaborating with colleagues and managements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to proactively identify, address, and prevent potential issues

  • Superb presentation skills; ability to translate complex financial outputs into simpler concepts

  • Ability to execute projects efficiently and effectively with limited supervision

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills - must have advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail with high standards of accuracy and review

  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity

  • Self-starter, with the strong drive and motivation to challenge status quo and serve as a change agent

  • Entrepreneurial mindset focused on identifying opportunities for improvements in collaborative manner

  • Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems

  • Fortune 200 Business Finance / FP&A experience

  • Experience managing cross functional projects

  • Proficiency with Hyperion and Oracle a plus

  • Global experience

  • SQL and/or Power BI experience a plus

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$84,700.00 - $96,800.00

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
