We work with every department in the company; Underwriting; Claims; Legal; Compliance; IT; Finance; Project Management; Actuary; Processing; Training; Sales; and Customer Service. We have recently completed a revision of our product suite and are looking to branch out into new proprietary products for our centers of excellence, while maintaining our recent improvements. Our supervisors take pride in providing an excellent balance of autonomy and support, to allow people to do their job, but provide training and assistance to relieve uncertainty. What you'll be doing:

Act as a leader, mentor and subject matter expert on product coverages, policy language and application of rules.  Research, develop and implement new products.  Provide product recommendations based on key competitor and industry leader product filings and trends.  Develop and maintain strong relationships within the company and the industry ranging from insurance regulators to trade organizations.

On any given day, you'll:

Develop proprietary programs, coverage forms and complex endorsements. Be a leader within the Products Department by acting as a subject matter expert, leading product project work, assuming responsibility for decisions and actions, and maintaining trust within the company. Mentor product analysts and senior analysts, reviewing and providing guidance on coverages, rating algorithms, coverage form and endorsement development, regulatory and statutory items.  Share knowledge and historical experience to aid in developing staff. Maintain an advanced level of knowledge regarding insurance issues, products, trends in the market, and pricing principles. Provide background and technical material for filing purposes. Develop supporting documentation for product implementation. Provide frequent updates to Product Management on all projects under assigned line of business or project. Proactively communicate with Underwriting, Compliance and Legal to advise of emerging issues and trends in the industry. Be a CM Group product resource with the ability to clearly communicate the intent of form language, rule language and rating rules to Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Regulatory and Statistical Reporting, Compliance, Marketing, Sales, Learning and Development and Information Technology. Lead Product response to corporate requests to participate in areas of Market Conduct that relate to Rate, Rule, and Form filings. Review competitor and market insight provided by product analysts and senior product analysts. Utilize this information in the strategic development and maintenance of products. Lead department projects, working to facilitate collaboration and ingenuity while maintaining a high level of organizing and driving timely results. Participate in corporate projects, cting as a subject matter expert for assigned line of business.

Here's what we expect

Bachelor's degree required. Equivalent industry or coursework may be considered. CPCU, CIC and other related industry designations are desirable Requires 8+ years of relevant experience with a property and casualty insurance company. Demonstrated ability to independently make and communicate decisions. Ability to operate with limited day-to-day management oversight. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and negotiate within a team environment. Demonstrated ability to fully and accurately complete assignments independently. In-depth knowledge of ISO's Commercial Lines Manual and/or NCCI's Workers' Compensation Basic Manual is required. Demonstrated commitment to learning, growth, improvement, and a desire to share knowledge with others. Ability to independently research, analyze and make recommendations to management and senior management. Ability to manage multiple initiatives, and work with employees at all levels within and outside of the organization. Exhibit professionalism and be a leader in resolving conflict.

Exact compensation will vary based on consideration of a variety of factors including education, skills, experience, and location. #LI-hybrid

USD $87,200.00/Yr.

Maximum Compensation

USD $121,100.00/Yr.
