Conduent Deployment Manager in Melbourne, Australia

CVTS (Conduent Victoria Ticketing Services) has won the opportunity to deliver the next generation of myki ticketing services to the travelling public of Victoria. The Deployment and Stakeholder Team inside CVTS is responsible for delivering new myki hardware and software into each of the Victorian Public Transport Business. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deployment Managers to join our team and support the planning and management of this large-scale hardware and technology roll-out program into Public Transport Bus Operators. This is an exciting and challenging Implementation Role.

As our Deployment Manager, you will play a pivotal role in implementing a seamless integration of new hardware and technology solution into the Public Transport Bus Operator Business. This role requires a strategic thinker, detailed planner and first-class Stakeholder Manager with excellent project management, technology implementation, training and change management experience.

The role reports to the Manager Deployment and is supported by a Training Manager, Hardware expert and Change Managers. You will be required to work internally with other Delivery team leads, such as the Customer Experience Manager, Solution Delivery Manager as well as within your own team, the Deployment Team.

Externally you will be required to work with your Public Transport Operator ticketing team (Ticketing Manager, Training and Business Change Manager, Customer and Internal Communications Manager. You will drive all aspects of solution delivery into your business and change activities to support this.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive implementation plan for the hardware and technology roll-out program. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align the implementation plan with overall business objectives.

  • Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring milestones are met within scope, budget, and timeline. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure effective project execution.

  • Change Management: Work with other Deployment Managers, and your Operators to inform change management strategies to facilitate the smooth transition for Public Transport Operator Staff. Identify potential roadblocks and proactively address resistance to change.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations. Communicate project updates, risks, and successes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with the implementation process. Develop mitigation plans to address identified risks and ensure minimal disruption.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to the implementation process. Develop post-implementation reports and conduct lessons learned sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale hardware and technology roll-out programs.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.

  • Excellent use of Office tools for presentations and reports and detailed plans

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with change management principles.

  • Ability to navigate and lead through ambiguity.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
