Oracle Field Marketing Manager in MELBOURNE, Australia

Objectives of the role, tasks and expectations:

  • Responsible for the ANZ Technology Marketing Pillar Plan from strategy to execution. Develop and drive execution of Oracle Technology marketing plans based on knowledge of near and long term objectives, evolving business needs and priorities, changing market landscape and competitive intelligence supporting cloud technology product portfolios.

  • The person in this role will join a team of innovative and agile marketing leaders that interface the Oracle Cloud business for the offerings and market segment that you manage. Focusing on Demand Management, you take the lead in developing an integrated and dynamic marketing strategy to support the Cloud business future quarter’s pipeline build to maximise results driving pipeline coverage, revenue and consumption goals.

  • You will coordinate marketing inputs for pillar objectives, gather business and market intelligence, synthesise customer insights, harness demand management methodology/output, to deliver an integrated Cloud marketing plan with clear investment prioritisation. You use ongoing feedback from business and technology stakeholders and shifting competitive landscape, to continue to refine and change execution plans.

  • You provide guidance on segmentation, market positioning of Oracle’s messaging, value propositions and differentiation into the marketing programs in order to effectively meet the needs of the customer audiences and market segment, You are skilled in cross-functional teams working closely with the Technology Marketing Director to help formulate the cloud pillar marketing strategy and execution plans to improve overall marketing performance.

  • You are focused on Marketing Program Development and Execution Excellence and responsible for co-developing the cloud GTM program in partnership with the Technology Marketing Director and executing the cloud pillar marketing strategy. Focused on targeting IT personas, you deploy the full marketing mix to optimise reach and ROI from cloud marketing investments starting with customer insight and data making sure you execute brilliantly at every step and don’t get bored of the detail.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in marketing or business management.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in integrated marketing management, cloud marketing, business user marketing.

  • Strong domain and market knowledge of ANZ cloud technology market and competitive landscape.

  • Excellent understanding of the needs of sales teams and ability to translate business needs into successful marketing plans.

  • A thorough understanding of strategic planning and market segmentation methodology.

  • Prior experience with a major MNC in a regional capacity working across multiple functions and country stakeholders.

  • Strong intercultural and communication skills. Results driven with superior collaboration skills in matrix organisation.

  • 360 degree marketing skills covering digital, social, media, events, tele, advertising, product launches and sponsorships.

Responsibilities

Meets with Sales leaders to create strategic marketing plan in support of Sales pipeline and revenue objectives. Participant in regular pipeline and forecast review meetings. Develops and implements tactical marketing programs in conjunction with Sales, Channels, Product Marketing, Product Management, Oracle Direct (Telesales), and external influencers such as user groups and industry trade associations. Provides onsite execution support for marketing programs. Tracks lead flow to ensure the appropriate Sales channels are following up with event attendees and campaign responders in a timely manner. Creates and manages program budget, measures ROI through metrics analysis and reporting.
