Robert Half Guest Services Representative in Memphis, Tennessee
Description We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in the capacity of a Guest Services Representative, based in Memphis, Tennessee. The role primarily involves providing exceptional customer service within a museum setting, with a focus on guiding guests through exhibits and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic within the museum. This position offers a contract-to-hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Greet guests at the entrance and assist them with any inquiries they might have.
• Provide detailed information about the museum's permanent and circulating exhibits to enhance guests' understanding and appreciation.
• Become an expert on the museum and the Civil Rights era to answer questions accurately and confidently.
• Monitor and manage the flow of guests within the museum, providing direction as needed.
• Take up station responsibilities at various points within the museum, including entrance, hallways, and the theater.
• Deliver brief introductions and conclusions for the video presentations in the theater.
• Assist in maintaining an orderly and safe environment within the museum.
• Strive to meet and exceed organizational sales and service goals.
• Leverage skills in retail sales and customer service to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Keep track of store inventory and ensure adequate stock levels. Requirements • Prior experience of at least 2 years in a Customer Service Representative role or similar
• Demonstrated skills in customer service
• Background in retail sales
• Ability to assist and direct guests effectively
• Experience in retail and retail stores environment
• Knowledge of store inventory management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in using computer systems for data entry and reporting
• Ability to handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stress
• Willingness to work in shifts, during weekends, and holidays if required
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a relevant field is a plus.
