Job Summary
In this role, the Quality Systems Project Manager will provide organizational leadership and be responsible for planning and overseeing the implementation of critical Quality improvement initiatives, including process improvements, data management systems, and business intelligence reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience with ISO9001-based quality management systems, robust problem-solving methodologies, lean-sigma concepts, and data science and business intelligence reporting.

What You Will Do
Lead all aspects of assigned projects, including but not limited to
developing detailed project plans
defining project roles and responsibilities
assessing and managing project risks and opportunities
managing project timelines and resources
providing guidance to all project team members
communicating project status to all stakeholders
Collaborate with stakeholders and use formal project management methodologies to ensure cost, schedule, scope and performance goals are met and deliverables meet quality standards
Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure effective adoption of new processes and technologies
Support the administration of the Quality Management System Documentation and Record control processes
Manage ERP related quality systems/modules and use data to drive improvement
Perform evaluation of internal controls, communications, risk assessments and maintenance of documentation as related to compliance with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Review, analyze, and report on quality discrepancies to develop dispositions and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies
Explore creative solutions to optimize Total Cost of Quality
Utilize continuous quality improvement philosophies, techniques, and tools in all aspects of the position
Provide mentoring and coaching in areas of expertise
Facilitate internal training on quality assurance requirements, processes, and procedures
Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years experience focused in quality assurance
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Advanced proficiency in training, data analysis, and data report software, e.g., Camtasia, PowerBI, COGNOS or equivalent experience
Ability to manage cross-functional project teams working independently
Solid leadership and management skills, particularly influence management and conflict resolution
Proficient with ISO Quality Management System standards and competent in all Quality functions
Ability to drive effective corrective actions using structured and disciplined problem-solving methods
Exceptional communication skills (written and oral
Candidates must be a US citizen and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Government contract experience as a primary or second tier supplier
Experience using Lean/ Six Sigma tools
Experience in managing database and business intelligence projects
Experience with conducting and/or supporting ISO audits
Knowledge of management tools and procedures
Ability to understand military specifications
Ability to understand of engineering principals, drawings, and schematics
