Riot Games, Inc. seeks Technical Lead-Payments in Mercer Island, WA. Job Duties: In collaboration with team leadership, develop, and drive technical vision and strategies to meet and exceed players purchasing experience. Develop new and hone existing rituals, tools, and processes to ensure RiotPay services are highly available - worldwide. Lead architecture design, review, and implementation of performance critical systems and help stakeholders understand the various risks and tradeoffs of different solutions. Identify, prioritize, design, and implement performance tools and optimizations to enable faster purchasing experiences for our players. Set the bar for engineering craft and quality and establish clear metrics. Implement sustainable processes and best practices for performance testing, data gathering, and code coverage to allow quantification of RiotPay improvements and enhancements. Mentor and coach members of the team to help level up the engineering craft and talent over the long term. This position is based out of Riot Games, Inc.'s office in Mercer Island, WA. Telecommuting is permitted within commutable distance of this location. Periodic on-site attendance will be required. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related quantitative discipline, and 5 years of experience in software engineering, or related occupation. Special Skills: (1) Java; (2) Cloud Computing in AWS, GCP, and Azure; (3) Git, and Maven; (4) PCI compliance on technical implementation; (5) MySQL and SQL; (6) Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD); (7) APM (Application Performance Monitoring), including New Relic, Datadog, and Sentry; and (8) Performance analysis and tuning Any suitable combination of education, training, internship, and experience is acceptable. Base salary range between $183,300 - $256,600 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
