Job Title: Quality Control Inspector Department: Manufacturing FLSA Status: Meridian Reports To: Plant Quality Supervisor Positions Supervised: None Summary Ensures the quality of incoming and outgoing products or materials by conducting tests, analyzing measurements, and overseeing production processes. Essential Job Duties • Inspect finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies, etc., for conformance to company standards. • Perform quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products. • Inspect materials, parts, and products at different stages of production. • Check and verify the accuracy and completion of manufacturing SOPs or checklists at stages of production. • Report conditions leading to quality defects or anything requiring immediate repair. • Use advanced inspection methods to execute on manufacturing quality programs. • Keep records and makes reports indicating results of inspections and communicate to management. • Inspect work areas to detect, correct, and resolve any unsafe conditions or products. • Obtain samples to conduct studies in laboratory analysis and determine measures to be taken to remedy deviations from standards • Record observations and may make recommendations for improving processes. Required Qualifications -- Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.) • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. • One to three years of related experience. • Knowledge of welding techniques, welding quality, and troubleshooting typical welding issues, welding certification is preferred • Ability to follow blueprints and welding symbols • Preference for those who have or are able to obtain ACI Concrete field-testing Grade 1 Certification Page 2 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities -- May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills and abilities commonly associated with this position. • Proficient in Microsoft Office products -- specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Critical thinker with exceptional attention to detail. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously. • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. Work Environment -- Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. • General office conditions. Exposed to moderate noise levels. • General factory conditions. Exposed to high noise levels, variable temperatures, and uneven terrain.
