Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Supply Base Management Specialist to join our dynamic Honeywell Core Contracting team in Mesa, AZ .

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and monitors supplier quality and delivery performance data to identify risks, issues and opportunities

  • Develops hardware/material shortage mitigation plans and influences delivery improvement

  • Facilitates subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations

  • Partners and collaborates with subcontractor and internal stakeholders to problem solve issues precluding delivery of hardware/material critical to Boeing production lines

  • Develops and participates in the implementation of supply base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies

  • Identifies and participates in supplier and business improvement activities. Provides outcomes for potential integration into contracting strategies

The ability to deep dive subcontractor shortages, leverage the team (internally and externally), and communicate progress through shortage mitigation will be key to success in this role.

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than three years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management

  • More than three years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action

  • More than three years of experience in applying risk management and mitigation principles

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.

  • Experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts

  • Experience working in a multi-functional team environment

  • More than three years of experience mitigating hardware/material shortages negatively impacting manufacturing production

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 30% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $88,400 - $109,200
