ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Audible HR team is currently looking for an Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team. Partnering with the Tech HR, International HR and Tech teams, you will enjoy a varied role working closely on hiring and advising leaders and managers, and also working closely with the wider Audible HR Business Partner team as well as Recruitment, Learning & Development, Employee Experience, Compensation and HR Operations. This role provides the opportunity to do a variety of tactical and strategic work in an environment that encourages both independent initiative and collaborative teamwork. You will partner with business leaders to deliver HR initiatives focused on internal customer service, employee onboarding, talent management, and employee engagement. You will understand the importance of accurate and timely HR metrics as well as their inputs and impacts. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work.
ABOUT THE TEAM
This HRBP will support employees and managers in Tech roles in Mexico City, as well as non-Tech employees in Brazil and Costa Rica, while partnering closely with the U.S. based HRBP functional leaders. This role will be part of the Tech HRBP team, reporting into the Senior HR Leader for Tech. Additionally, this HRBP will partner very closely with HR Centers of Excellence across Audible and Amazon.

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will...
Provide full HR partnership to the Mexico based leadership team and employees
Contribute to and drive Human Resources projects and initiatives in line with objectives
Use data and metrics to identify trends, anticipate business needs, and implement action plans focused on employee experience and organizational health
Execute employee engagement strategies and rewards and recognition programs. Regularly inspect employee sentiment mechanisms and identify, escalate and take partners when concerns or trends are discovered
Champion change focused on creating and fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment for all employees
Hold leaders accountable to equitable selection, retention, and development of their employees
Guide managers with all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including compensation, performance management and employee development
Handle employee relations issues self-sufficiently and guide managers with handling cases appropriately
Be the subject matter expert on HR and employment law requirements, provide HR guidance and support to the team
Partner with Amazon HR team when needed including escalation and resolution of operations issues
Be the subject matter expert for all HR related matters who can pull in additional functional HR support when needed

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of relevant Human Resources generalist experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Human Resources or related field, or similar experience
Prior experience working in Mexico
Spanish and English language proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Tech teams
Experience working for a global company with an International remit
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels including credibility with senior managers
Able to build trust with managers thanks to strong expertise and judgement
Good understanding of HR systems and data
Significant experience partnering with leadership and employees at all levels
Experience operating and influencing within a complex matrix organization
Substantial knowledge of applicable employment law
