Robert Half Accounting Assistant in Miami, Florida

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Credit Clerk in Miami, Florida. This role is primarily focused on accounting functions within the telecom provider industry. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out a variety of tasks, including processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and managing customer credit accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy in all aspects.

• Maintain a thorough and up-to-date record of all customer credit applications and decisions.

• Address and resolve customer inquiries related to credit applications in a timely and professional manner.

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly, identifying any issues or discrepancies that may arise.

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments, adhering to company policies and procedures at all times.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Office Suites, with a focus on Microsoft Excel, to manage and analyze data.

• Perform data entry tasks, ensuring all information is correctly input into the system.

• Carry out Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) duties as required.

• Manage billing functions, ensuring all invoices are sent out on time and payments are received.

• Keep track of cash activity, making note of any unusual transactions and reporting them as necessary.

This role requires excellent communication skills and proficiency in Excel, along with a solid understanding of accounting functions. The successful candidate will be expected to work from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to perform Billing Functions

• Experience in managing Cash Activity

• Proficiency in Data Entry

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
