Univision Communications Inc Associate Producer in Miami, Florida
The Local Media News team at Televisa Uni vision in Miami is looking for an Associate Producer to join Noticias 23. You will be assisting our producers in preparing the Newscast, might replace them during absences, and will work closely with assignment desk editors, digital producers, and reporters to verify quality control for videos, supers and graphics, while supporting our multi-media efforts by creating and sharing content in our digital platforms.
You will report to the Assistant News Director.
ABOUT YOU:
You love the rush of the newscast coming together, but you prefer to stay behind the scenes making sure everything is ready. Interacting with talent and crews is for you, while creating visually compelling content and paying attention to detail is in your core. You are eager to have the opportunity to produce by yourself and strive to test your limits replacing producers during their absences.
*Duties and Responsibilities: *
- You will be writing voice-overs and anchor intros, as well as writing, correcting, and supervising our supers. You will edit scripts in Spanish.
- You'll also write copy for web page, distribute content, and send push notifications through digital platforms.
- You will assist our Directors and Producers with trouble shooting in the control room.
- Operate teleprompter as needed.
Requirements:
- A college degree in Journalism, Radio/Television or related field from accredited University completed or in progress.
- Must understand verbal andwritten instructions
- Due to nature of job, Bilingual English Spanish required to perform job duties
- A thorough understanding of how to build and operate within the News Rundown using the INews system and the Vizrt
- High regard for details, ability to prioritize, self-starting and meeting deadlines attitude
- Thrive under pressure, meeting tight deadlines
- 1 or more years working in a TV news environment is a plus.
- Knowledge on systems and software to generate, upload, distribute and promote content in social media and digital platforms is a plus
