Robert Half Indirect Tax Analyst in Miami, Florida

Description

Robert Half is looking for a Tax Analyst experienced with process automation and optimization initiatives within the indirect tax department of an organization. This position is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

• Act as primary support during project issues and post-go-live scenarios.

• Collaborate with transformation leads to drive the discovery and planning of automation/digital business solutions.

• Monitor and report on the performance of existing automations, identifying opportunities for optimization.

• Support the delivery of process automation and optimization initiatives within the indirect tax team.

• Conduct gap analysis between current and future processes, identifying gaps with existing system functionalities, reports, and controls.

• Perform value stream mapping activities for various functional groups within the indirect tax team, identifying initiatives for process automation and optimization.

• Work closely with the indirect tax team to identify inefficiencies, improvement opportunities, and design new streamlined and standardized processes that leverage new technology.

• Develop detailed process flows of the current state, identify pain points and improvement opportunities, and develop future state processes and support organizational structure.

• Promote self-service solutions to the indirect tax team to accelerate the indirect tax digital maturity roadmap.

• Stay updated with capabilities of different cutting-edge automation tools used in the industry to deliver efficient solutions based on use cases.

Requirements • Must have a strong understanding of tax accounting principles and relevant legislation

• Proven experience with accounting software systems is required

• Proficiency in SQL and automation tools such as UiPath is necessary

• Knowledge of indirect tax is essential

• Previous experience with JIRA and Alteryx is advantageous

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required

• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data

• Excellent organization and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
