Boeing is seeking a Senior Trade Control Specialist to join our Boeing Distribution Consumables and Expendables Global Trade Controls team. This position can be located in Miami, FL; Dallas, TX; Mesa, AZ, Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; Seattle, WA; Tukwila, WA. or Ridley Park, PA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development of company position in coordination with key stakeholders

  • Develops arguments and responses to external inquiries to support the company position

  • Participates in or leads industry advocacy groups and governmental engagement to impact the global trade control environment

  • Monitors trends in government and industry, anticipates potential changes and recommends approaches

  • Combines the multiple elements of global trade control requirements into a comprehensive enterprise global trade control strategy

  • Identifies, documents, develops and deploys regulatory documentation for high profile and/or precedent setting activity with significant business risk and/or sensitive policy issues involving industry partners, subsidiaries, joint ventures and multiple regulatory agencies

This position is on a hybrid schedule. This means you will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working with import and/or export regulations

  • 5+ years of experience in a role where meticulous attention to detail, with emphasis on accuracy and quality was paramount

  • 5+ years of experience managing and organizing multiple deliverables and deadlines with minimal direction

  • 5+ years of experience with Trade Control experience in U.S Customs, International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or Export Administration Regulations

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

  • Experience with assigning harmonized classification codes (e.g. HTS)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with SAP

  • 5+ years of experience writing trade control authorities / export licensing

  • 5+ years of experience with Export Administration Regulations (EAR)

  • 5+ years of experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)

  • 5+ years of experience participating on compliance assessment activities supporting global trade controls matters

  • Project Management Experience

  • Bachelor's degree

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift. Some work outside of normal 1st shift hours may be required.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $99,450-$143,750
