POSITION SUMMARY:This position will have primary responsibility for developing and ensuring suppliers deliver quality materials, products, and services on-time. Responsibilities also include supplier relationship management, meeting and improving inventory turn standards, reducing material spends, and establishing MRP system flows and communications with all functions needed to deliver on-time to customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibility for purchasing needs and Supply Chain Management including:
- - - Development and execution of strategic sourcing strategy - Effectively evaluate supplier capabilities and select optimal suppliers - Identify and participate in the selection of new suppliers that support strategic direction - Drive supplier quality metrics through root cause analysis and corrective actions where appropriate - Management of purchasing team to include execution of buy signals via ERP system and monitoring of purchase order flow downs for accuracy - Drive KPI improvements to include inventory turns and supplier on-time delivery
Managing and leading:
- - Workforce development thru performance management and training, including cross-training of personnel - Assignment of tasks/jobs to appropriate personnel - Department staffing in accordance with business levels - Compliance with company policies and procedures (including ISO and AS) - Proper performance measurements for performance parameters and visually display and communicate performance to the rest of the organization - Driving improvements to the highest level, including linking individual performance awareness to team performance awareness to company performance awareness. - Support key company initiatives to support key company goals - Lead and hold direct reports accountable for supporting key initiatives through standard disciplined processes and policies, including immediately addressing any obstacles - Identify root cause(s) and implement corrective actions for departmental responsibilities that do not meet plans and key initiatives. Establish preventive actions as necessary.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Bachelors degree in business administration or related field
- Minimum 8 years experience in supporting aerospace manufacturing in a purchasing capacity
- Minimum 4 years experience in a leadership role
- Proven contract management and supplier experience
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems - Epicor a plus
- APICS certification a plus
