Aerotek Sheet Metal Helper in Milford, Delaware

Join our team as a Helper, where you will assist in maneuvering and handling sheet metal parts weighing up to 50 lbs. You will support Brake operators and helpers by moving parts, staging them for operation, and labeling them according to reference drawings. A key part of your role will be to practice and sustain 5’s methods, understand and drive LEAN principles, and continually develop ways to improve safety performance. You will also be involved in achieving departmental safety goals, including near miss reporting and safety metrics. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Hard Skills

  • General knowledge in the construction

  • Ability to read blueprints and reference drawings

  • Use of critical measurement equipment including micrometers, tape measures, dial calipers, square, protractor, and micrometer

  • Working knowledge of computers including SAP

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Milford, Delaware.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing facility where the noise level is usually loud, requiring hearing protection. While 95% of the work is indoors, large bay doors may expose you to weather elements like cold in winter and heat in summer. Although housekeeping is maintained per shift, expect to be dirty by the end of your shift. Must self-supply steel toe or composite toe boots and will be provided with PPE including ear plugs, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and arm shields. Tools required for the job are issued by the company.
