This Administrative Assistant role provides administrative support to leaders in the School of Dentistry, with an emphasis on academic affairs, faculty/student service, and clinic operations. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Provide administrative support which includes but is not limited to: greeting students and faculty requiring assistance, schedule appointments and meetings, troubleshoot issues, draft confidential correspondence and meeting minutes, review records to respond to inquiries. 2. Manage daily and academic cycle activities in Academic Affairs: providing course information to the Office of the Registrar, create and distribute course and exam schedules, review and update school bulletin and student handbook, organize Academic Performance Committee meetings and take minutes throughout the year, organize, attend, and take minutes meetings, organize meetings related to academic progress matters (hearings, ad-hoc meetings, appeals, etc.). 3. Administer faculty access to D2L; act as backup for submissions to this learning management system. 4. Record management: maintain and update digital and hard copy student files, maintain copies of up-to-date policies, syllabi templates, current course syllabi, and other shared documents on SharePoint. 5. Credential verification: coordinate PASS process for graduate resident applications, complete routine forms for licensure, enrollment verifications, etc. 6. Responsible for the supervision of student employees which includes but is not limited to hiring, training, disciplinary actions, ending the student\'s assignment, etc. Will also oversee and manage student employment hiring process for other Dental School leadership: post/manage job openings, guide hiring managers through employment process, issue salary authorizations 7. Cross train to complete other administrative tasks during peak work volume. 8.
