JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Tech Packaging Lab Associate is responsible for developing and executing projects and tasks related to design, testing, reliability, integrity, quality, and compliance of product packaging and operating systems. The position reports into the Packaging Engineering (PE) Team, is based in the Milwaukee, WI facility, and supports global MilliporeSigma operations in Life Science. Responsibilities: include but are not limited to: Works safely and adheres to rules and standard operating procedures of the MKE facility and PE team.Responsible for packaging performance, testing, compliance, and data in our DOT M4109 test lab.Responsible for safe and compliance operation of packaging test lab equipment. Responsible for conducting packaging tests and using our STARS data collection system. Resource for supporting packaging design improvements and innovation projects.Resource for supporting packaging line operation, including primary, secondary, and outer packaging.Resource for supporting global harmonization of packaging materials and methods.Resource for active participation in special projects related to packaging materials and components.Resource for data analysis and problem solving related to leaker reduction projects. Ensures service excellence to internal and external customers. Who You Are: Minimum qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Packaging Engineering or Science Packaging. OR Certificate from an accredited packaging engineering school. OR High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years of work experience in a chemical packaging or distribution role.2+ years of SAP, data management, and information technology experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with freight based palletized and single parcel shipments in e-commerce distribution.Experience working in a manufacturing and distribution setting. 10+ years of packaging work experience. 5+ years of dangerous goods packaging experience.Knowledge of lean operating techniques, EHS systems, and quality management programs.
