Job Description Summary of Position Manage full-cycle recruitment process from inquiry to matriculation for prospective undergraduate students within an assigned territory to achieve or exceed the pre-determined quantitative goals for the undergraduate profile in the context of a diverse student body. Primary Responsibilities Identify, recruit, and enroll prospective students from a designated market; manage a recruitment territory of diverse populations; develop recruitment strategies; plan and arrange all phases of necessary travel within territory; and conduct office-based communications flow by mail and phone with students and college contacts to achieve or exceed the pre-determined quantitative goals. Establish and maintain an informational, active communication system with prospective students and college counselors/staff by means of community college visits, college fairs, telephone recruiting, and on-campus personal visits to promote Augsburg College. Review, interpret, and evaluate students' academic credentials and make well-informed admission/denial decisions; may award designated scholarships. Participate in 3-5 year strategic planning, including inquiry pools, recruitment initiatives, marketing, outreach, travel and budgeting. Coordinate with Admissions leadership to maximize the Slate CRM program in the recruitment process, acquire accurate data, define and develop excellent business practices, and assist in the development of helpful reporting. Coordinate with campus partners to target specific prospects throughout the year, providing academic departments and other key departments with consistent updates to ensure professionalism, accuracy, and superior customer service to all potential students and community college partners. Provide superior customer service to students for the Admission staff for quality improvement of the student experience in the Admissions department as a whole. Provide unofficial transcript evaluations and individualized transfer planning services to all prospective students. Develop, coordinate and present college workshops for community groups to raise the awareness of Augsburg and serve our neighbors in developing their understanding of college. Additional Responsibilities Participate in cross department discussions pertaining to problem-solving, college policy, best practice, business requirements, and data analytics discussions. Partner with external organizations to raise the level of public awareness of Augsburg for transfer students including: military, professional, corporate, and non-profit organizations, TCAEA, and academic partners. Analyze needs, and develop and implement strategic planning to create an inquiry pool to meet or exceed targeted recruitment goals. Other duties as assigned or apparent by supervisor(s). Work Environment and Physical Demands Typical work environment is an office. Sedentary work for lo g periods of time. Regular computer and phone use. Occasional intense work environment as it relates to reactions from students and/or parents. Long or irregular work hours; including evening and weekend hours. Travel approximately 4-5 weeks in the fall and 1-2 weeks in the spring. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Two (2) or more years of Admissions experience, including proficiency with recruitment software systems, Slate required. Ability to travel during peak recruitment seasons, including overnight travel. Must have reliable transportation to participate in local/regional recruitment events, activities and presentations. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree. Four (4) or more years of Admissions experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment. Ability to be attentive to details, be accurate, be precise.
