This role will be dedicated to designing and developing intuitive, user-centric interfaces for our digital therapy platform. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in HTML and CSS, coupled with a deep understanding of user experience principles and a commitment to improving mental health care. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Design and Development: (45%) Define user personas and create high-quality wireframes, prototypes, and user interface designs to communicate design ideas and workflows. Develop and maintain cohesive visual branding for the application to ensure a unified and memorable user experience. Ensure responsive design across various devices and screen sizes, focusing on mobile-first design principles. Development Collaboration (20%) Collaborate with the development team to implement design solutions, ensuring they align with technical requirements. Assist with front-end development tasks using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to ensure seamless implementation of design elements. User Research and Testing: (10%) Conduct comprehensive user research, including user interviews, usability testing, and surveys, to gather insights and inform design decisions. Analyze user feedback and data to iterate and improve the user experience continually. Work closely with the PI, clinical experts, and content developers to ensure that the therapy's goals align with user needs. Collaboration and Communication: (10%) Collaborate with the project team (project PIs, co-investigators, clinical experts, and software developers) to ensure the therapy's goals align with user needs and project goals. Present design concepts and research findings to the project team, advocating for user-centered design practices. Facilitate design brainstorming sessions to drive innovative solutions. Actively participate in design critiques, iterative improvement processes, and knowledge-sharing sessions within the team. Accessibility and Compliance: (5%) Incorporate accessibility standards (WCAG) into designs to ensure the application is usable by people with disabilities. Stay updated with industry standards and best practices for web accessibility. Technical Integration: (5%) Integrate design components with backend systems, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience. Debug and troubleshoot issues related to design and code implementation. Continuous Improvement (5%) Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in UX/UI design and front-end development. Advocate for and implement best practices in UX/UI design to elevate the overall user experience. Qualifications Required Qualifications: *BA/BS with at least 2 years' experience, or a Master's degree. *Proven experience as a UX Designer, preferably in healthcare or digital health projects. *Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions and case studies of previous work. *Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar. *Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus. *Strong understanding of accessibility standards, usability principles, and best practices. *Excellent communication and collaboration skills. *Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid work environment. Preferred Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. How To Apply Applications must be submitted online.
