RBC Licensing Specialist - US Wealth Management Insurance in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Summary Job Description What is the Opportunity? To have a full understanding of state insurance licensing rules/regulations in order to ensure that all appropriate employees are properly licensed in a timely matter with the applicable jurisdictions and appointed with the appropriate insurance companies. What will you do? Employee Licensing Complete the administrative detail and paperwork related to the insurance licensing of all new trainees, transfers, and present employees for both resident and non-resident licenses and ensure that the agents are affiliated to the Firm's state licenses, as required Process all insurance appointment paperwork via SureLC, or through a General Agent, depending on the product, follow-up to ensure that appointments were executed, state-based training was completed and tracking appointments on the RegEd Xchange license database Manage all details relating to the renewal of agent insurance licenses, which includes validation of all of the insurance continuing education requirements, ensure that we receive copies of renewed licenses and all training certificates (Long Term Care, Annuity Best Interest, and NY Regulation 187) Responsible for timely filings of change related to the licensee (address update or name change) as required by the states Responsible for reporting disclosure-related items to NIPR's Attachment Warehouse in a timely manner Respond to insurance license questions from employees and communicate rules, regulations, and Firm policy, as necessary Ongoing Maintenance and Monitoring Maintain all aspects of the RegEd Xchange database relative to licensing, appointments and training to ensure that the Firm is accurately tracking such information Generate periodic reports, as needed What do you need to succeed? High School Diploma 2-3 years of experience in financial services Nice to Have Knowledge of insurance licensing and registration Working knowledge of NIPR, RegEd's Xchange, and Surancebay's SureLC databases Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel High attention-to-detail/accuracy Ability to organize and prioritize workload What's in it for you?
